Nigel has over 25 years’ experience in the property development and construction industry across a variety of sectors and business environments.
Nigel has been involved in several design/build joint venture consortiums, responsible for delivering some of New Zealand’s most significant capital works projects including the $450m augmentation project associated with Auckland’s Mangere wastewater treatment plant.
He retains directorships in both the private and public domain. Aside from managerial appointments, Nigel has completed or led a number of corporate advisory assignments over the years for clients such as General Electric, Carter Holt Harvey, AMP, Housing New Zealand, Solid Energy, Manukau City Council and Goldman Sachs JBWere.
These roles included responsibility for fostering and growing new business relationships by providing sound business case support to a range of property or project challenges. This included strategic planning and risk mitigation studies, development and facilities management reviews and overseeing the implementation phases.
Before joining McConnell in 2003, Nigel was Regional General Manager for Bovis Lend Lease.
